A spinal cord injury (SCI) is a serious blow to the body. Despite the wealth of existing research, there is no cure to date.
People with SCI are under a lot of pressure to build their lives over again while holding on to what’s important to them. And it’s crucial that they don’t have to go through it alone.
The effects of SCI have to be treated by a team of both medical and non-medical professionals to find the most suitable aids and ways to compensate for the disability. It is not uncommon that people start living fuller, more active lives after the injury.

But is there really nothing new in SCI treatment?
